Downtown Excitement!

Filming of the upcoming movie, The Avengers is underway right outside our doors! We've seen the film crews transform E. 9th St. into NYC under duress, complete with cars crushed under fallen concrete and "charred" building facades. One of our clients even spotted Samuel L. Jackson last week! So, when you stop downtown to see the stars, make sure you come in to Rivchun's to see our new "stars" as they arrive for the fall and holiday seasons.

The Avengers isn't the only thing happening in downtown Cleveland this season. Tyler Perry has been filming the movie I, Alex Cross in the Warehouse District!

With the casino, Medical Mart, the Interbelt Bridge Project and the movies being filmed, Cleveland is really been busy! We would like to formally announce the retirement of Joe Soukenik Sr. after 55 years at Chas. S. Rivchun & Sons. While retaining his part-ownership in Rivchun's he will be working in a consultant capacity while splitting his time between Chicago, Illinois and Green Valley, Arizona. Joe Sr. will be returning to Cleveland regularly for special events at Rivchun's and also in the event of any dealings with large estates. Although his everyday presence will be truly missed, he will continue to play a part in our day to day business in Cleveland as well as with our large following in the Chicago area. Any well wishers should plan to help us celebrate his retirement at our Annual Fall Open House being held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 12pm to 6pm. We extend our best wishes and love to Joe Sr. for happy and healthy retirement!
